America's
heritage chicken! This breed is believed to have come over to this continent via
the MayFlower. Prior to that, its origin is up for debate. The plumage is reminiscent
to the barred pattern and can be sex linked at hatching. Many of the barred variety
chickens may have begun with the Dominique, or formerly known as "Dominikers".
This rose combed layer of brown eggs is a dual purpose bird, as well as a nice
addition to the poultry show pen. Our line of Dominiques have come from breeders
who spent many years earning their good reputations for maintaining this fowl.
We continue to do just that! CornerStone
Farm is not a commercial poultry hatchery. We hatch quality over quantity. This
practice offers sales of select young and mature fowl. We do not ship day old
birds, however, birds less than 5 weeks to day old can be picked up at the
farm.
