CornerStone Farm is in the heart of the Staunton River Loop of the Virginia Birding and Wildlife Trail. This package is truly for the outdoor enthusiast to take advantage of the nearby sites on the loop; and to enjoy the diverse habitats throughout the farm. On site, there are marked trails for horseback riding, hiking, birding, and picnicking. Our forest, fields and open sky come alive during bird migration - perfect for all levels of birding.

Cast a line for largemouth bass, crappies, catfish and more in our spring fed pond for early morning or late afternoon fun. Then after dinner, enjoy the warmth of a bonfire as it cuts through the evening chill while sharing stories, marshmallows, and hot-dogs.

Fishing Frenzy

Whether you are young or young-at-heart, fishing is a relaxing pastime. Many of our guests enjoy the farm pond to try their skill at bank fishing. There are crappie, catfish, largemouth bass, and bluegill ready in the pond for sport.

This trophy fish was a catch and release from the pond and is still in there.

For the more advanced anglers who are coming to the area to fish the "Big Lakes" (Kerr, Gaston, and Buggs Island), we have accommodations for boats and trailers. We can arrange for all your guided fishing tour needs as well while staying at the inn.

Our farm offers activities to family members and friends who care to stay behind and enjoy the farm's busy routine while you are out on the water.

We encourage family participation and offer you to upgrade to either the Farmhand or Farmer package to make it ideal for the non-fishing family members to come and enjoy the farm and area while you are out fishing.

* Hearty country breakfast before leaving inn, yes at that hour!
* Light lunch to take with you or relax back at the inn
* Evening meal before retiring
* Fishing at the big lake (Kerr Reservoir)) or on the farm pond

Hunters Haven

Virginia Hunting Season Only

For the outdoors sportsman, this package is for hunters who want to get away for one night or longer. We offer seasonal hunting for deer, turkey, fox, squirrel, and rabbit; when permitted by Virginia Game and Wildlife laws during open seasons. Whether you are hunting on CornerStone Farm's wild private forty acre timbered tract, or the 40,000 acres in 26 state wildlife management areas within 15 minutes of the inn; our accommodations are conveniently located to your hunt.

Our farm offers activities to family members and friends who care to stay behind and enjoy the farm's busy routine while you are out enjoying the great outdoors.

We encourage family participation and offer you to upgrade to either the Farmhand or Farmer package to make it ideal for the non-hunting family members to come and enjoy the farm and area while you are out hunting.
